Privacy Policy
Skimly is a Chrome extension operated by Theo Labs, India, that summarizes the pages, PDFs and YouTube videos you choose. When you click Summarize, that page's content is sent to our server and on to a leading third-party AI provider to write your summary; we do not store it or use it to train any model, so please avoid summarizing pages with information you would not want processed by these providers. You sign in so we can count your monthly summaries: we receive only an anonymous account identifier, never your password, contacts or files. We keep that identifier with your usage and plan status in a cloud database, and our hosting provider also processes standard request data such as IP addresses to run the service. Your recent summaries and chosen style are saved only in your own browser, and you can clear them from the History tab or by uninstalling.
Paid plans are handled by our payment provider and merchant of record, Dodo Payments: your card or UPI details go to them, never to us, and they share with us your email address, subscription status and billing period. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising, and our AI, sign-in, hosting and payment providers may process it in other countries, including the United States. Skimly is not directed at children under 13. To ask what we hold about you, to have your usage records deleted, or with any other question, email theogloballabs@gmail.com. If we change this policy we will update the date above.
